Thumbs up D MENAC 7 Fender Strakes.

D MENAC 7 in the States is doing a Hymee and is producing ace stuff at a good price for the RX-8. One of his newest products is repro strakes. I am his first customer in Oz, and expect them to arrive in a few weeks.

Price is about a quarter the cost of the Mazda product, landed here. He will be doing them in all colours, and is even going to cast them in a set of six, if you want a little extra bling!

Read all about them here and here. Can't wait!

Regards, Gomez.

he's in the process of making them, but he can't disclose prices as of yet. Send him a PM if you're interested, and when he is ready, he can contact you.

Looks like the originals. Just as well I did not go with the dealer option.

Does that fender have a ding on it?....I hpoe its not from the frustration in installing it.

Jeez, I hope not! The grilles pop out from behind and you gain access to the grille tabs through the inner guard, then the strakes are installed off the car.

Dennis pulled off his Mazda strakes to fit those ones, maybe his dealer put a ding in it! Or maybe it's just a reflection...

Gomez.

Given how much cheaper they are than the Mazda originals I've placed an order for Aluminium style strakes. Can't wait to get them and then install them.

You have to PM DMenac7 to get a price and details. He doesn't want to post commercial details without being a sponsor/advertiser yet.

Resurrecting this thread. My aluminium strakes arrived finally this week after about 2 months of DMenac7 not being able to produce the aluminium version properly, but I'm happy to say they look and feel really good. I'm not likely to be able to install them for a couple of weeks owing to trips interstate for the next 2 weekends. Once I do I'll post pictures.

I installed my front and rear accents a couple of months ago, they aren't perfect but they are 98% and less than half the cost of the mazda part. Have stood up well to stones etc.
