That's a great piece.

When I first read it some months ago I was sure it must have been written by an Aussie as he seemed to know so much about the place, attitudes, names of people etc. In fact I've got it saved somewhere on the hard drive.

I was amazed to discover than he's American. Rather sad that he's stopped adding to his site, but I guess it's better to stop when you feel that the fun and inspiration is fading, rather than drag it on too long.

 

We're about to have a ferry that handles drive on, that goes from Sydney to Hobart..

I'm thinking.. drive.. drink.. sleep.. then drive!

I wonder if a en-mass Tassie drive in could happen with Qld, NSW, Can, Vic and SA folk could merge on Tassie and prove that with enought high octane, you really can solve the national trade deficit on alcohol in one weekend!

ps: will post the deets once I hunt down when and how and how much we can drive onto a ferry, sleep all the way to tassie, and drive the weekend away in the bendy hilly roads of tassie!
