The official Australian spec RX-8 is displayed in 360 degree rotating videos (both internal and ecternal of the car) on the Mazda Australia website, members area. The external video very clearly shows clear side indicator covers.

And I agree....clear does look much better than yellow.

US will get yellow but it seems everybody else will get clear. I'm fairly certain even Canada will get clear. I prefer the clear and will try to get my hands on a pair down the road.
