C'MON!! ***NATIONALS - Oct 22-23...see STICKY***

...but wait....surely there must be more.... we need more people!
So, sign on at the sticky ^^^^^^^
I am setting up a group email list, as the forum system seems not to be working....my email address is timbo_rx8@mac.com Email me there, and I'll add you to my group

what's a "bump" then... keeping strictly to internet forum jargon of course.

Bump, n...or v .....Bumping is just bringing a topic to the top of the list by posting to it even though you have nothing new to say. Basically used if a useful thread is buried deeper than most new forum members are looking, or to try to encourage discussion on a topic that has died off.
you'll see me do it a lot, until I have a real sense of the numbers committing to the Nationals...or apathy sets in

Not concerned about the style of their handle or stick :p but an Alphabetical , easily readable columm , properly spaced would make it easier to find ones name .

Well, I guess there are two milestones. Initial numbers is one, and that's looking pretty good, although far fewer people seem prepared to send me their email address, so we can do group emails to communicate rather than rely on the (currently non-existent) email alert system here.
The second will be, of course, seeing who ponies up with money once we have a budget
So...take the next step....send me an email at timbo_rx8@mac.com -- don't forget to tell me your nickname and the state you are from.
The list is based on the order I have received advice, which may be relevant later on. Not everyone has a location attached to their nickname

As a discussion point. I know we want this to be the first RX-8 national meeting, but on the off chance we cannot get enough RX-8 to make the cost reasonable, did we want to approach the MX-5 NSW, QLD & VIC Clubs and invite them along?
Given the time frame of late October we might even be able to persuade Mazda to demo the new MX-5s to promote interest, I'm sure even RX-8 drivers would like to check out the new MX-5. If we can get Mazda to do that I'm sure we could double the attendence.

I can see 6 months later someone having an engine issues and Mazda saying sorry but October 2005 we have evidence of you on a racing circuit... Sorry no warranty
I don't trust them!

Maybe the track day element is best described as a further 'advanced driver education' session. This may also give some people a tax deduction....?!
