It's actually very poor marketing although I doubt Mazda would actually choose to place a car ad in the middle of a "oh my god the world is going to end because I can't afford petrol" article.

It's funny because Mazda's ad is embedded beside an article about fuel prices reaching $8 per litre!!! The RX-8 isn't known to be a fuel miser!

I think those ads are targeted. If you look at drive regularly you get car ads.
