Psychiatrists have this to say of the various colour choices on the road:
Black: First choice of ambitious drivers who want to project an image of success.
Red: You're outgoing and impulsive with a youthful attitude, but easily bored. It also symbolises power and action.
Silver: You have great style and are often successful, but you tend to be pompous.
White: The first choice of doctors and drivers who are reliable and methodical.
Grey: Expresses understated good taste and indicates a safe, cautious driver.
Blue: A team player who's sociable and friendly, yet lacks imagination.
Orange: Like red, a vibrant colour which stimulates strength. It is also an inspiring and stimulating colour representing joy, fun, openness and love of being with other people.
Yellow: One of the three primary colours and stands for wisdom, imagination, joy and curiosity.
Green: People whose favourite colour is green tend to be modest, well balanced and patient.
Gold: A colour of protection, strengthens the heart and projects self-confidence. It symbolises universal love. Gold represents the good and noble, also symbolises silence, for silence is golden.

Oh my god, my life is a lie. I've worked as a designer all these years and now just find out I have no imagination
Lets test this theory out. I will sit here close my eyes and imagine something. Closing my eyes now....
Bahahahahahahahahah.. (Gasp).... deep breath... Bahahahahahaha
Sorry, I just imagined myself in a yellow 8. Who said I don't have an imagination :D
Of course I just jest. There is nothing wrong with yella. I would agree with that profile of a yellow buyer... Joy & Curiosity. I had a fellow employee with a yellow car once and he was full of joy & curiosity. He would refer to himself as newly gay & curious all the time. :D :D
Not that there is anything wrong with that... of course

My wife wants a porsche or lambo in the colour "hot pink"
Not because she loves that colour, but because she KNOWS i would refuse to drive anything in that colour, no matter how good the car may be.
I'm sure she will also need some "Hello Kitty" decals and accessories for her car to... <shudder>

AMV V8 CALLED VANTAGE IN YELLOW
For mine you can keep your Porsches and Fazzas. The dream car for me is a gun metal grey AM Vanquish.
Retro-fitted machine guns in the front guards for people who drive slow in the fast lane would be the only mod I'd want. :D :D
P.S. An admittedly non-car loving mate of mine actually thought I'd bought an AM when he first saw the 8 (dark night!!). Almost felt like kidding him for a while but was proud enough to own up and demonstrate the 8s many talents. Typically, he was most impressed with the rear doors!!

That was the car I feel in love with and the colour I wanted, just as I wanted an SP20 in Sunburst Yellow once I saw a preview some 6-8 months before it went on sale. I went out got that Sunburst Yellow SP20 and I would have got a Sunburst Yellow RX-8 if they existed.
That was the colour I wanted, not the homogenised paler yellow that Mazda chose for their global markets. I even seriously investigated the cost of a full professional respray in Sunburst Yellow. However, it wasn't to be (too expensive, increased insurance costs).
Winning Blue was my choice of available factory colours - not least because the Yellow '8 had been discontinued some 4 months before I bought mine.
