Hi all,

I'm thinking of getting another RX8.... Basically I really have enjoyed driving this car (and car club etc ) and there's nothing else in this price bracket that suits.

But I can't help wondering if a new model or model upgrade (eg more power) will be coming out soon - afterall it has been nearly 4 years since first released & and then I'm also wondering about the colour - I'm just not sure whether I should go for red again or maybe white or...?
I'm leaning towards white (this colour wasn't available when i got mine) this time with a full bodykit, hymee exhaust of course, etc etc

Well just thought i'd ask for your opinion on colour & whether anyone has heard if a model upgrade/new model is rumoured to be coming out soon?

I don't think theres going to be another model till about 2010?

I suggest holding off till then?

I think the US side of the forum has a lot of rumours about that going around

But if you do get a new RX-8 now, you'll only get 170kw (manual). That's 7kw lower than yours (and most of ours)... but then again... what can you do with 7kw?

For the money involved, I would keep what you have and spend the money on mods

 

Get another red, Rik, to compensate for the power loss (u say yourself that it's faster), and u won't have to change your user name either hehe

As to the question, personally I'd hold out a few more years and see what the next gen one looks like. I'm sure your red baby is still serving you very well.

New cars comes in a lot of forms. Some good mods take the worn parts out and put a good newly performed one in - it is a new car.

Although I love white

 

I'm also sorely tempted by the white. Looks hawt when modded.

Mind you, the copper red is a beautiful colour...
