centre dash cd player thingy.

Sorry about the title, i didnt wasnt supposed to be that technical.

Anyhow, does anyone know if you can get a replacement bit for that whole shinny black bit that has your CD slot, and all your other radio and aircon controles? Even better, does anyone know if you can get a nice aluminium one?

Please dont tell me it cant be replaced, i scratched mine comming back up from Melbourne and im not too impressed.

Thanks,
Rob.

Like ..... what thew.

There are some on eBay now and then, mainly in fake carbon. But there are replacement from the dealership. I am sure.

Nothing from Aussie dealer? Go to japanparts.com or takahaira.com and ask for them. Koji san in Japanparts.com (koji@japanparts.com) has resources to Mazda dealers and MazdaSpeed in Japan.

How bad is the scratch? Can you cut and polish it? I am thinking if the repair kit for CDs will work on those surfaces :p?

I found a company called iptdashkits, they have brushed aluminium kits, carbon fiber etc.

When you give that black plastic a decent scratch it is actually bright white underneath, which is why i really want to replace the part.
