Some not so good news... The weather forecast for Sunday..

Sunday ... A little rain developing. MIN 14 MAX 24

Still there is three days to go and the BOM have not been very good at local rain forecasting lately..

sco 06-15-2005 02:58 AM

My fingers are crossed

xxup 06-15-2005 03:48 AM

Okay fellow cruise participants, my Finance Director as asked me for the fourth time:

Who is taking what for the BBQ?? Or would everyone prefer to bring their own plate of food?

Any thoughts??

Hymee 06-15-2005 05:46 AM

I'll eat at the Crows Nest pub or have a pie or something.

Hymee 06-15-2005 05:51 AM

Now, I need to draw something to your attention...

This is a public forum...

This is a private drive...

Hence, the route will remain private until we travel it.

The general direction will be west. There is a nice bit of twisty stuff that sco mentioned.

Cheers,
Hymee.

xxup 06-15-2005 03:41 PM

Yes yes we know that, but we have to have a start point and time... Can we assume that 18Jambo74, as the convenor of this cruise, will PM us on Saturday?

I agree that given that there is a "little" rain predicted that we might not be able to BBQ, but Miss 5 and the others would like somewhere to run around.. :)

I'm there - subject to it not raining too much.

Please add me to the list and PM me details.

Cheers

sco 06-16-2005 04:42 AM

If it's not hailing... Count me in! Maybe we should aim for an earlier start than usual to try to avoid the "developing rain"?

et381 06-16-2005 06:32 AM

I'm in, put me on the PM list. :-)

Hymee 06-16-2005 08:16 AM

We don't need really have a PM list for the start point. We will just post the start point/time here. If others from "further afield" want to meet prior and travel to the official start point, then that is OK, and they can organise.

Laurence,

Sorry I haven't been in contact much about this. I will resolve via PM or phone call with you my ideas for the "mid section" of the route.

I recall there was a playground quite close to the lunch point I am proposing.

Cheers,
Hymee.

rx8 - smooth! 06-16-2005 11:40 PM

Long time no speak on the forum!

I'll be there - look forward to meeting some of the newer members.
Please advise start point and time.

Cheers

Steve

It is with much regret that I cannot make it on Sunday. :( I had a bit of an accident earlier in the week and needed stitches in my arm. It's making it hard to grip the steering wheel normally let alone on a cruise going thru those twisty bits. I am very disappointed as it would have been great to catch up with you all. I can only hope that another cruise is organised before the new year.
To all going on Sunday, have the best time and I'll see ya round. :)
cheers,
rx88er

Hymee 06-17-2005 11:49 AM

Sad to hear about that dude.

Get well soon. We'll miss you :(

Cheers,
Hymee.

xxup 06-17-2005 05:02 PM

Well the weather forecast is not improving.. Problem is that the skies are aboslutely clear this (cold) morning... I wonder if it is just someone from the Bureau of Meterology with a Volvo and a vandetta against Rx-8s??

Here is the latest:

Sunday ... Rain, dull and cold. MIN 9 MAX 18

Sure sign that Taka is headed north and Melbourne's weather is following... :D

xxup 06-18-2005 12:50 AM

We now have a 1.5W UHF 40CH Hand Held radio with the VOX... It's a Jaycar special - we also have a VOX headset and microphone... :p

Finance Director, Miss 5 and I cleaned the car today - Boy! is it going to rain tomorrow... What a busy day!

How are we going for the Time and Place announcement - I need to go to bed soon? Also who is ringing SKC?

Jambos 06-18-2005 12:54 AM

Someone needs to post the Meeting Point and Time.
At the moment all I know is that we are heading west ish.
However has selected the route needs to inform us all of the meeting point.

That sounds like you Hymee.. My guess is that he is busy soldering new Scanalysers to keep up with the incredible demand..

Hymee, may we please have your attention for a moment? :D

Jambos 06-18-2005 01:01 AM

We are waiting :)

xxup 06-18-2005 01:15 AM

Latest weather report:

Cool on Sunday with rain at times
and mostly moderate N to NW winds.
Brisbane for Sunday ... MIN 10 MAX 18

Revolver 06-18-2005 01:41 AM

Damn - whatever happened to beautiful one day, perfect the next.

Gee I'll laugh if Melbourne and Sydney get away without rain and the Qld boys cop it. :p :D

And remember boys - lots of photos. I want to see if the mythical Hymee actually exists before I order my exhaust!! ;) :D

And don't tell me he was in that grainy photo from the States - I've seen photos of the Loch Ness Monster that were clearer than that!
