Brisbane Cruise: Sunday 19th June 2005

Ok guys its time we had a cruise :D , how about Sunday June 19th route to be confirmed ?
Lets try and beat Melbourne and Sydney with the most RX 8's :p .
How about it Hymee, Rx88er ? and all you new owners .
We could also arrange a BBQ at a park, bring the wife, kids etc.

Where would you like it to be and what route would interest you?

We are open to suggestions as to the route, I think last time they went via Caboolture,Woodford,Mount Mee,Samford,Mount Neebo etc.
We can all make suggestions and vote on the preffered route, how does that sound.
Or is that too many options?

Hi all the cruise sounds like a great idea. It would be good to catch up with some of our newest menbers.

Twisty country roads are great for these drives.

19th June sounds fine.

Count me in

Nice initiative Jambo!

Isn't rotaryenvy up on the Darling Downs? Maybe we could go up the BNE Valley Hway over Wivenhoe Dam, and then up through Lake Perservernce (whatever) and then to Esk for lunch. Then either back through towoomba, or better right around through Sommerset/Kilcoy? There are heaps of options

Cheers,
Hymee.

thanks for the thought hymee but the decision on the rute should be made without me in mind.
I'm going ahead with a flywheel next week and don't know if the car will be on the road, or that I'll have cash for fuel

Hi 18jamb074
You can count me in....that makes 5....where's everyone else. Surely we can at least match the same numbers as the last cruise (9 + 1 Porsche).
cheers,
rx88er

Dave ( CIAO ) HAS SHOWN POSSIBLE INTEREST IN THE CRUISE HOWEVER MOST LIKELY HIS CAR WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE AS HES GETTING his Greedy turbo kit fitted around the 1st week of june .

I have a date with the local magistrates court on the 17th of june apparently they want to suspend my drivers licencee for going too slow as u guys know i can put up a good fight and hopefully my solicitor will convince the police prosecutors and the magistrate that my slow driving was in no way dangerous :p

cheers

So after you manage to convince the other parties that you are a safe bet you will join us on Sunday? If you don't manage to convince them can't you appeal and join us anyway?

In a worst case scenario, maybe you could come up with Apana??

I hope i wont have to go and appeal more money for those solicitors

Let you know on the 18th what happens . Guess i didnt fly low enough for the radar gun .

Good luck Lock. I am sure you will pay anything to buy your way out of not driving your 8 for 6 months. :p

.... oh god. I have been on probation for collecting 12 demerit points in Victoria and I just served it! :D Now I am 0 points. Hurrah! :D

Funnily enough I got booked heaps of times while flogging the **** out of crappy little hatchbacks but am yet to be stung in the 8 (toucing every available wood surface as I type that).

Good luck Lock - hope you beat the rap.

4 more points to redeem and then I'll be all pure like Taka.

Well done Taka....must have taken a huge effort to resist pressing the pedal to the metal. I too am close to losing my license as I've been stung 4 times in the 8. I haven't had a ticket for 5 months now. ( I'm touching anything that looks like wood) :D
