Beep sound .
I just had 5000KM service, and starting to push hard on my car, i don't know what rpm i was at,(maybe it's around the red line) and i hear this beep sound everytime i shift. Is this normal ??
|
The beep is normal. I happens at 8500rpm to remind you to shift.
Shifting at redline on every shift is not normal, though. ;) On a completely unrelated note, you should really give some thought to reading the thick book that came in the glove compartment. |
beep once a day and keep the mechanics away. :D
|
it's annoying when im driving across country and it's beeping one long beep the entire way :(
|
Shift, guy.
|
Cant shift higher than 6th!!!
|
Are you leaning on the horn?
|
Lol, J/K :)
Welcome to Australia BTW! |
thx guys for the help!!!
|
You have to watch the beep though it can cause a six step chain reaction...
off the loud pedal on the clutch shift off the clutch loud pedal to the metal grin .. that last one is the problem... after a while your cheeks start to hurt. |

I notice that since I have just passed 4,000 kms that the engine is reving to the redline much more freely - I have to hold back in the city that second gear is way too fast... :)

On another note,
does anyone know where I can find a Monster Rice Tacho. It'd go well with my new Veilside stickers. Some help please. Thanks in advance. |
YES. I'm eagerly waiting to cross the break in barrier. I'm at about 300mi. I wanna hear the BEEP!
|
Don't rush mattzen and lazymark... break in is a little like foreplay... enjoy it for a while before you go after that climax at the top of the rev range.

Thanks in advance. an aftermarket tacho is actually a very useful device (if didnt come with the car).... so i wouldnt call it rice. the word "rice" can be over used sometimes  you can get external shift light with differenr rpm "pills" to set it alight at certain rpm ;) check out the autometer range or give rocket industries a buzz |
Chillax Ezzy.
I'll let you in on the "Rice tacho". It measures RICEness of the car. Its a joke. Please don't take it personal. There's nothing wrong with a factory tacho, but if i didnt have a tacho I would no means go and purchase a 'Monster fully sick tacho' that can go on my ROOF/BONNET! Cheers. Tuan. |
nah man.... tuan looking back at my post and thought..... oops... where are those :p , :D , :) smilies :o
its all good brah... :D |
Cheers brutha ezzy.
No hard feelings. I'd love to use smilies but now you gotta click on "Go Advanced". It's just too much brutha. Plus, I don't know how to work the smiley shortcutting bull$#!t. P E A C E O U T L A D. This one's for you ----> :D |

Useful enough. Why black, no shealth for me. It looks cheap when you paint in black and I cannot see it when it is at the steering column - my corner of the eye is not that wide - I still have to look at the track in front of me. Oh... my little girls does not want me to use the shift lamp on the road - she went today "de de yai yai" |
