BBC TV Top Gear Program
The Poms reckon that the RX-8 was very well reviewed in the highly respected BBC TV Top gear program, aired yesterday. Top Gear is shown on Foxtel's BBC TV Channel #37 at various times during the week. I taped yesterday arvo's screening, and was too early for the RX-8 review. Instead they aired a program shown a couple of weeks ago in the UK. Great, though; they did a full bore comparison on the no speed limit roads of the Isle of Man on the S2000, Boxter and Z4, following up with a track workout with their resident maniac Stig and rated them all about the same. It really is an excellent show, and I'm setting my VCR timer each week until I catch the show with the 8. Foxtel admits they don't know what BBC will show until it actually airs.

I think if Stig would have the new S2k, the result would be pretty diff.

Great test! For Jeremy Clarkson to describe the 8 as 'sensational' -- he is a master of the creative put-down -- is something. And to post lap times equivalent to an M3 (a car I quite desire also for its naturally aspirated 4 seat performance/useability) is something
Am still not sure what he means about it being "twitchy in the wet" but he does mention tyres. I'd probably agree: I don't think the Bridgestones are the best all round tyre you could put on this car.

Delivery was suppose to be middle of this month, but it got delay for another month, so ain't gonna get mine til middle of Dec. I hope to get it before Christmas. I ordered my on early Sept, so it's about right for the 8 to roll out from the factory in early Dec. Can't wait to get my hand on the mine 8.
