Smile auf wiedersehen

I have made the decision to get a bit more fuel efficient and have gone with an Oil Burner with 5.3lit / 100k.

But I have kept the sports feel and drive by going for an Audi TT 2.0 TDI.

Swap over is next week, I received $27k trade for the 05 RX8 with 75k on the clock.

The TT goes like a bat out of hell and just sounds great.

Thanks to all for the great times at the various cruises and of course the best Nationals of all 2005.

Hope you all have fun, although it seems most of the early guys have now moved on.

Safe driving to all.

Laurence

Interesting choice, Laurence! Having shifted to the Audi side as well, and with SWMBO having that same diesel in her Golf GT TDI, I'll be interested to hear how you find it with quattro. Is it manual or DSG (Sportronic)?

Probably see you on ozaudi (same nic for me )

Six speed manual, they have decided that the DSG box is too big to fit in the car.
Don't like auto's anyway.

Yeah, been watching the forum and there is also a Queensland members club.

I will try and catch up with Adrian (xxup) saw him the other day in his A3, don't know if he is on the forum.

The test drive I had just blew me away the car is that good.

That's a pretty good trade value! Have heard good things about the TTs and having driven a few different diesel cars recently my perceptions of diesel technology have really changed.

And shameless plug - www.eurocca.net - European Car Club of Australia (I'm a mod )

Sorry to see you go Laurence. I am sure you will enjoy the TT just as much as the 8. Thanks again for the corporate box tickets to the footy....it was awesome.

Sorry mate, I purchased a set of 19 inch rims and tyres for my regular use and the stockies have semis for the track. However, you should have little trouble selling them on the forum at that price.

Just the standard RX8 rims with some minor gutter rash, came off the 8 when I put the powdercoated ones on.

Taking up space in the shed and won't look good on the TT.

I will throw in a free exhaust , all pick up only.

Yes thats right $ 400 for 4 rims and a free exhaust.

So don't fall over yourselves to get them.

probably turn the rims into some trendy coffee tables with glass tops or very trendy hose reels.

Hahaha, I'm amazed Taka doesn't have the coffee table and hose reel going already!

You'll sell them pretty quickly. If dragging, post on Ausrotary...
