the AU site of Rx8club

What the hell is happening with the rx8club.com.au site? I went in to browse this morning and the last 20 or so messages are SPAM pure and simple? I don't mean this offensively, I'm just surprised they are being left on there...what gives?

On the face of it at least, that site has never been fully supported by it's owner or it's Moderators. It's always been a spam **** magnet.

One of the reasons I'm not a member there.

Gomez, whilst the AU site is a spam magnet from time to time, theres still a lot of people who use the forum.

I'm also aware that the moderators are doing their very best to cull the spam and with a bit of luck they'll also find the time to get stuck into the members list.

Its a time consuming and very often thankless job.

I'm also mindful that the moderators are also volunteering their own time towards the cause, and we all just have to just be a little bit patient sometimes...

All in all they have my full support!

The spam has a very clear spam-like topic headings... I am sure Lock will find the viagra thread useful (don't go there )

As you are all aware, I have been an active mod there for the past couple of years, but I o longer have the time. The problem is that no one has volunteered to take up additional mod roles

Thanks Gomez but having chalked up a couple of hundred posts still puts me in the 'begginer' category.

I still have a lot to learn. Thanks for the offer...

With posts like this its probably no wonder we get targetted by the spamsters.....I'm afraid I wouldn't make a good moderator...!!!

For the benefit of those who don't visit the AU site this is in answer to Lock's challenge to Taka...https://www.rx8club.com.au/forum/vie...?p=25795#25795

I'd like to see him try to take on this line up of beauties...!

C'mon Trevor...who said you needed a 3 figure post count to be a moderator....and I'm sure you recognise the differences between good and evil

You're right. It's beyond help.

It's not worth saving.

wtf Gomez! I dont get you ometimes. That last comment had nothing to do with saying the .com.au forum was beyond help, it was about enforcer saying he wasn't up for the offer of moderator (which I think you would be great at enforcer).

I just wish Choppy would hurry up and implement the required changes so we can move onto more interesting thing.

Hahaha, I think he'd be a great Mod too!! I'm glad to see you're passionate about the issue.

My post was an effort to get him to step up to the plate. He says he enjoys the forum...sometimes you need to fight for what you want. (In this case, I reckon he should help fight the spam battle...as a Mod).

Cromax.....thanks for your input.

Cheers.
