Attention: MR AMUSE

I contemplated quite awhile before posting this.

Please stop DRAGGING your car on first gear down Waverly Road everytime you swing by campuswalk!! You make alot of noise! I've seen you floor the peddle just to merge onto dandenong road from waverly. Do you realise that it's only a busy 60 zone with cars parked on the road!! You nearly ran me over once near the intersection of waverly and dandenong!

Other then that, I think you have a nice car. Although I reckon the previous silver (BBS?) wheels are nicer then your new dark coloured ones.

Sorry for the jib guys, I'm new here and planning on buying an 8 soon. But just thought that I should warn people about driving cautiously, you don't want to be singled out by the cops that frequent that area. Not to a car like the RX8!!!

Don't get me wrong, I didn't say I disliked like the sound of the rotary, it's just that he's modified his exhaust and it's friggin' louder then before! And he had to drag it in 1st on a busy 60 residential road. Yes I know you have a rotary that drags to hell and beyond but still...the loud catback exhaust at high rpms is annoying

I've seen an cops pull people just before/after the burke road stop lights. So..yeah..it's not wise to do anything dumb on that road.

But yeah, I'd prefer an RX8 compared to a 350 any day.

It is just a matter of finding the right exhaust for the RX-8 :p

AMUSE, if you are reading this, then maybe if you are getting comments like this you need to rethink some habits. When the dogs are barking....

Not_amused, DRAGGING is racing someone, isn't it? Anyway - as long as he didn't exceed 60, then there is not much wrong with it. There is no law stipulating the maximum rate of acceleration or RPM

Just so you don't think I'm a prima-donna, I did get pulled over once for "accelerating in a manner that was unacceptable". Go figure. Perhaps it was unnacceptably slow!!! ROFL! That was when I was younger, you know - when there is a big sign over your car that lets the coppers know "Driver Under 21 Here". Hehehe.

Cheers,
Hymee.

I remember doing a little take of skid as i was on a hill... i was not use to the cars heavy clutch and the cops said they could inbound my friends VN.

Who puts a set of lights on a steep hill asking for trouble.

Regards
Phillip

p.s Hymee exhaust sounds good, maybe when you get your rx8 you can get one?

OMG - Dear me. I thought he was slagging a 35oz! (Which is OK. Except my (female) boss in the US drives one )

If he is slagging an LS1, I'll remind him they are 346 cubes, not 350 :p

Kas will like this for a mod:

I was in the exhaust shop the other day picking up some more units to send forth, and Lex was custom making a set of headers for an old Valiant (sorry - dont know what series ). It had the big **** HEMI V8 in it - 500 and something CID.

Anyway, Len was making these special headers for it that plumbed each of the big allow heads into a 'ken great turbo!

500+ cubes and Twin Turbo.

i want to ask is it u said i nearly ran u over once???
there would only be a chance u not following the traffic light i guess.....coz normally i won't floor the 1st gear to enter the waverly rd...but u right i do gas on first to enter the dandenong rd..
but i never floor may be just my car too loud on the air fliter and miss leading u that is the exhaust!
anyway soory i nearly run u over but may be next time dun stand too close to the road is safer for u..coz all the car i saw is crazy on those busy rd!!!
anyway want to let u have more information about my car..
my exhaust is legal in the EPA testing 86db!!!so it is not friggin' loud at all.........
but there is no law saying the air filter cannot be louder than the exhaust and no law can get me on a loud air filter than a loud exhaust!!!!!!!!
refer to yr comment !!
(the loud catback exhaust at high rpms is annoying )
if u really feel annoying about the catback exhaust at high rpms i think u better start thinking about u should buy Rx8 or not !!!!!coz every ppl won't feel annoying when they driving RX8 with high rpms and the point the buy this car is also becoz the car can provide them hight rpms the all "LOVE" the noise from the high rpms!!!
so i suggest u dun get ROTARY car if u really feel annoying about it!!!!

man, all he is asking is for you to slow down....it's a busy area and you are gonna come to grief.

I'd reckon the EPA would be interested in a car that exceeded their db limit, regardless of the source of the noise....

ADR 28 states a max limit of 77db for cars in motion.....doesn't matter what causes the noise.

Hey AMUSE, it might be time to pull your head in. Everyone knows your tag. Who knows if and when the cops might check in on you. Pity it isn't an offence to be illiterate in charge of a vehicle.

Talking

Having been amused and having meet Amuse at our Melbourne Chadstone Mc donalds rendevouz , i can let you all know that the HYMEE exhaust is larger and louder than Amuses .

Amuse has got one of the best looking RX8 out there , hes on a league of his own , so guys dont be concerned about his driving habits etc , he will pay for his own fine if he does get caught .

He drives the RX8 the way it should be driven and not like a little old granny .

cheers
michael

labrat,

You might be illiterate in his language too, so dont be so rude.

I dont know about AMUSE driving habbits and how loud the car is etc, but its actually a defect to have a non standard air filter in a car doesnt matter how loud it is.

AMUSE your car you drive like you wish, just keep it safe for yourself and for the public

Phillip

Amuse you probably don't remember me but i was the guy that was going to buy your car lol. The guy from Sydney.

Anywayz i think your car looks very nice and my cousin seen your car in Sydney a couple weeks back with the black wheels.

I reckon the enkei NTO3 wheels are awsome.

The amuse exhaust sounds good aswell.

Not_Amused - you would hate to live in sydney then if you don't like loud cars.
