Dec 11th DND took place at 09:30 PM

Rob [ pricer01 ] and Dez made it, tanaka took a rain check [ busy writing "it wasn't me running that red light camera, honest" letters apparently ]..

No idea what happened to the rest of y'all here in Sydney - Eric [ EZZY ] got a very late invite ( as I only read a PM from him with his Mobile as I was running out the door also on the phone to Rob at the time ) - sorry Eric - perhaps next week!?

Finally got to actually meet Rob for longer than the initial "hey ****, you're driving an RX8 too!" at the corner of Pitt and King St's in Sydney waiting for the lights to change while throwing business cards between cars! Well worth the time to stop and chat and shoot the ****!

And after the drive - well - all I can say is "**** Rob, you are indeed the sensei of --SUBURB--NAME-REMOVED-BY-REQUEST-- back streets, without a doubt! * humble bow * - I swear most of the time you were driving with your eyes closed and simply "used the force" - man alive!

Ever corner taken involved slides, screaming tires [ have to kill these frigging RE040 OEM's asap and get Pirelli's!! ], **** loads of speed bursts, sill Dez managed to short shift "graunch" a 2nd to 3rd gear change [ thats happening a lot f*ck it - syncro mesh seems too tight ] - I scared the **** out of a Merc driver on the inside of a hair pin left, and I think I pulled an all time "wow - ****!" manourver with a 60km entry into a flat right U turn with heal toe work getting the back end loose, slow right hand drift, then hard down to power out of it and made it pointing back up hill all while peeling rubber off the **** RE040's the whole time!

Turns out Rob's death wish is actually higher than he perhaps had thought, and some of the leaps of faith into dead pan corners, over crests, and between dual edge parked cars proved that indeed PRICER01 takes the "****, you got it through there !?" award hands down. Nice to find yet another RX8 driver [ tanaka's already clocked in as confirmed ] who's death wish is on par with my own ( with a slight wife and child adjustment these days ).

I think all up we prolly kept within a 15 km radius and yet nailed what must have been almost 1.5+ hours of driving and I don't think we hit the same street or road twice baring exiting via the main thoroughfare through --AREA-NAME-REMOVED-BY-REQUEST--, yea gods thats fun.

Turns out Rob's away next week.. so I'll be looking for more / new drive buddies. so get on board kids.. DND next wednesday, perahps a little later..

++Dez;

** [good] advice recieved from rob on the edit to remove the area and street names **

Dez .. you are too kind ... it was fun.

It was great to catch up and interesting to watch the folks gawk as 2x8s rolled past.

And for the kiddies at home ... all the above was done within the speed / noise limits governing the said roads ... :-)

So fellow posters ... lets try to get 6 or so together sometime soooon !!!!!
