Airbox's Question?

I know it has been done to death but thinking again of getting a Revi Airbox and duct and was wondering if anyone has had any good results from changing their airbox's? It seems a lot to pay for very little gain??

I have them installed, and yea, it's like guilding a lilly; expensive, but worth it under certain specific circumstances. If it simply a DD car I'd not recommend it, it will do little to nothing except cost a lot & look nice; if you track the car you'll see gains in the upper rev range, nothing major, but the car feels happier accelerating 7-9+K, which is something you need to do repeatedly on track.

Ok will do.If I can't find a second hand one by Tuesday I will be looking for a newie. I have a track day in 4 weeks and I like to make a small mod each time I go in case my times get worse and I can then blame the new mod..

Peronally I would suggest investigate a K&N Pod filter installled inside OEM airbox (have been threads on this in th past) and a simple intake mod like this https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...light=PVC+heat if you have the room (ie no intercooler in front)

Yes I have a Pod style filter fitted inside the airbox. You need to reove the trumpet, panel filter support fins inorder to fit the pod in with a screw clamp.

Note: completely reversable as long as you keep screws & bits removed because not destructible process.

Review all options.

Best of luck!
