ATTENTION:

Some addition information required on the car check list

Pump your tyre to at least 36psi. I prefer 37-38 since we are not going to warm it up much until we get to the interesting part.

Rain resistant jacket. It is going to rain.
Also check your windscreen wiper and the cleaning spray if it is working and filled up.
Rain X WILL be useful.

Dress comfortably in the car and please do not have any food or loose object in the car - it is going to be nasty otherwise . You know where we are heading too .

Now we will have one stop before the major fun bit and one more stop before destination. Toilet **** stop will be announced via CB. There is nowhere else to stop unless it is an "other" emergency ok?!

Will gather at 9am for relatively soon departure after that
SO DON'T BE LATE!

We will get there roughly 11:30-12 noon and BBQ until 230 for a return home before 4.

Just as a last minute thing check out ausrotary.com and go to the events section.
Sunday May 7th the Mazda Car Club of Australia is having a drive from Bundoora to Flowerdale and surrounds (Yea etc) They are then having lunch at the Flowerdale Pub (inside and dry), perhaps rather than wiggling up the mountain we could cut across to Yarra Glen Yea and wind up at the pub as well, still plenty of twisty roads. I know we have all prepared for a BBQ but just another option

We can go to Warburton and get through to Marysville if you like.

The fun bit is not the Lake Mountain itself but the road between Warburton to Marysville

Melbourne is started from 12 degree to 14 degree - meaning the cold front will be passing late morning to afternoon - we will prob see snow falling during BBQ - won't that be ******* cool???

It is down to the fact that if you are going to trust me.

Watch this space at 7am. If I tell you it is not going to be fun. We meet up and have the BBQ at Ringwood.

I am reading BOM reports and observation in higher ground at the moment.

The Hotham and Baw Baw is 1 degree and 4 degree respectively and has rained.

The likelihood is that the Lake Mountain is around 5 degree.

Snow may or may not be there... the fact that I say this is the wind maybe gusty in that region.

Then it is not much fun even if we can get to the top. The cold front is passing as I am writing this paragraph and I cannot see when the next front will pass.

Some of you will hear the wind around midnight last night - yes the wind picks up 4-6 hours prior to rain and yes we can still be stuck in the wind at Lake Mountain.

That is my concern. Not snow

Ok I now definitely have plan B and even plan C depends on how brave you are.

Rock up at 9am and we will discuss.

How good you are to a BBQ idea in the rain?

Well if you have had enough of our company just tell us. You do not have to sneek away when nobody is looking

I myself arrived home just in time to watch the World Rally Championship, so that is exactly what I sat down and watched!

Also went home via the somewhat windy roads of Christmas Hills. Not too bad, no doubt better than the Hwy!
