Lol! I have to get some semi slicks first to make it a 'fairer' comparison

Hey I'm thinking of getting some RE-01R from the US - comes in my size and is road legal....

AD07 (first choice) and RE070 (second choice) dont come in my size from the US.... only japan (which isnt ADR complaint).

Semislicks are cheaper too... I was quoted A048 in my size $USD$248/tyre.

Let me drive your car then it is a fair comparison.

Forget 235/45 17... go directly to 245/40. Give yourself more choices. 245 is still good for your 8" BBS.

yeah 245/40/17 is great.... but.... the load rating is only 91 for AD07 and RE01R. My stock load rating is 'supposed' to be 93.

I'm sure it's fine but dont want to run the insurance company risk that's all.... it's a pity, AD07 245/40 has 1" more tread width than the 235/45 RE01R

Loading rating lower is no good. I think you should loose weight then

I don't think AAMI will like it coz under loading of the tyre is not road worthy even in SA. Keep in 235 then.

Damn. My current slick is 91W - can't fit in yours although my wheels are perfect size for your 9.

Damn Damn. the A050 is 93W :haha: 245/40 18.
