It's been almost a year and a half of ownership, and last weekend was the first time I went out with the intention of taking photos of the 8.

So here are some of the better ones. Some mates and I borrowed a friends camera, so we had NFI what we were trying to do with it.

Drew, you are correct - the avatar photo isn't my car.

I have some factory 'bling' (skirts, strakes, chrome crests, b-pillar garnish and some interior stuff) and a Tanabe Medalion Touring Exhaust - other than that she's stock standard.

Taka, I have no idea what ur talking about, but thanks. We were basically pointing and shooting. Out of about 100 shots, we got lucky a few times.

WhiteRain, have you ever seen a Crystal White RX-8?

Can you describe the difference between Crystal White and Snowflake White?

 

I have seen the colour, had my car parked next to a CX-7 in crystal white. (From what I gather from Mazda's website, Snowflake white is still the colour offered on RX-8s). I did see a couple of white brand new 8's at the dealership this year, they look identical in colour to my own.

Compared to Crystal white, I think the snowflake white has a (very very) slightly creamier colour.

But the difference is so small that unless you have the two cars side by side and you're trying to spot the difference, you won't be able to tell.

The Mazda Australia website still shows Snowflake White Pearl, but the RX-8 colour brochures being handed out at the dealerships have Crystal White Pearl as the available option.

I need to see one in full sunlight anyway. Nice to know that it's very similar to Snowflake White.

 

And soon we will have Marble White for the 40th Anniversary version .
