[OzRenesis] Mazda RX-8 Owners club of Victoria Inc.

It is my pleasure to announce

Mazda RX-8 Owners Club of Victoria Incoporated (OzRenesis™)
http://www.ozrenesis.com.au

This is a non profit organisation for owners of the Mazda RX-8 in Victoria. Our aims are to:
  • Encourage coming together of owners and drivers (and their respective families and friends) of the Mazda RX-8 by actively promoting membership of the club to all who own the car;
  • Promote and further the practical, sporting and social aspects of motoring within the membership of the club and, where necessary or desirable, joining with other persons, clubs or associations in Australia and overseas for those purposes;
  • Encourage social interaction between, and participation by, members and generally affording to them all the usual privileges and advantages of membership of the club; and encouraging courtesy, good driving and safety on the roads of Australia.
  • Promote knowledge and understanding of the unique Mazda rotary engine and the Mazda RX-8.

The club will be affiliated with the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport Association and your membership can be used to obtain the appropriate licences.

OzRenesis membership will give you a truly exciting RX-8 ownership experience. Let the zoom-zoom fun begin in our sports car like no other.

Let me introduce our committee:

missyK – Secretary
auzoom – Events Organiser
RXVIII – Treasurer
astro – Vice President
taka – President

Our events organizer Mr. Andrew Harris will announce the events planned for this year.

Regards,

Dr. Stephen Chan

Hey, how come today's date on the website is Sunday, 21st? Is Victoria THAT far behind the rest of the country?

Thanks everybody for the comments and I have to thank all the people involve in this project of starting this club. From our first desire to have this set up till the day we launch it. It has been a wonderful journey and everyone in the committee united and give it all and I love you all for it.

OzRenesis forever.

Tim - that maybe a timezone issue. Andrew will fix that no prob. I think you can join us in a few activities down here mate.

I like it Taka but I'd lose the extension of the red line and the dots - they don't add anything IMHO.

No, I don't think it's a rice look but I also don't think the collection of dots looks anything like a chequered flag. Reminds me more of a diseased heart or a failed attempt to sketch out the shape of Australia, lol.

I also think a chequered flag isn't apposite to the club's stated aims anyway. You're not a sprint racing club after all.

Logos and the like are tricky beasts. They're hard to get right but worth the effort of doing so.

BTW, I'm surrounded by very close rellos that are graphic and industrial designers and artists, so I've had quite a bit of exposure to this kind of thing over the years.

I just think the arty gene did not pass on to you

It will be funny if Revolver is doing the ink blot test

You are insulting Google.
This is the top response on the image search

This is not the official sticker for the club. Kal is making that just for the logo itself. It is a sticker for me.
Since when checkered flag = racing..... :

It just mean finish to me

Thank god that you are sort of approving the OzRenesis logo btw

Anyhow - some people like it the sticker large and some like it small and some like a plan and some like it touched up.

That is why there are so many colour for RX-8s.....
