The only advice I can offer is to get on with living life, not thinking about it...because something always happens to change your plans anyway. Enjoy the moment, you're a long time dead.

And if that doesn't work, buy a turbocharger

OK I think Timbo needs a you aren't feeling the love.....

I like the turbo charger talk though........

.....but not the VW polo talk though.

BTW, isn't it funny how we've all said this is crap, etc but haven't been able to help ourselves from offering our own little pearls of wisdom?

Since when 33 is middle aged? I thought 50 is :

If that is the case, do I have to buy a Porsche next year ?

I am happy what I am doing ... I am surviving a ******* stupid job, have eventually realised you are having a bright career, and have a happy bouncing girl and a beautiful wife at home. What more do you want.

Sorry Mogley.

There is a long and involved history here. The short story is Lock&Load was here forever, then got banned for reasons I'm not completely au faix with. People get banned from here all the time, mostly just temporarily, but Lock got life with no parole.

One of his mates from the Gold Coast, got banned from here some time later. At various times since, one or the other (or both) shows up under an alias (or two) and pretends to be a newbie. They ask the newbie questions, ****-stir and pour salt into old wounds, waste all our time, get exposed in the end....and get banned again.

What you are seeing here with Grizzly8 is the latest instalment. Jesus only arose from the dead once, these guys have perfected the resurrection through practise.

Cheers.

Taka you're confusing "mid life crisis" with "Menoporsche"......for which you need "***** moan" replacement therapy......

and on that note for which I'm truely embarassed (who am i Rove??) I'm going to bed.

Which is another way of saying that as you get older, your toys become more expensive.

I'm 36, feel like 24 and most of the time act like i'm 16 (when I'm not at work) enjoying life too much to worry about getting deep and meaningful about midlife stuff.

besides, who made the rule that you HAVE to buy expensive toys when you hit midlife? I started buying all that stuff when I started to make money!

some things I learned at an early age: don't over analysise anything, don't create a storm in a tea cup, don't make mountains out of molehills, accept complements gracefully, insults should slide off you like water from a ducks back, don't be a poser, listen to what other people have to say, don't boast too much, and actions ALWAYS speak louder than words, and the grass is rarely greener in the other pasture.

Just enjoy life as much as you can.

Anyway, enough of deep and meaningful stuff from me. I'm off to chill out with my 5 month old daughter.

Revolver is right-I don't think anyone is pissed enough for this thread.I'm 58 and have absolutely no intention of growing up.People have way to much time on their hands with this navel gazing.Concentrate on the important things, like how to reduce lap times and such.
Not only am I now a card carrying member of the Polo GTI mob,I liked it so much I bought it's big brother as well.....
Cheers
