should I powder coat my stock rims black?

Does anybody know how this looks or have they done it before?

I have a white 2007 with the stock 18s and I think that this could look really good.

keep it shiny stock or your car will look cheaper.. because technically that really is a cheap mod

save money for something more expensive (springs, rims)

Well uhmm.. to each his own. if you feel it will look *sexy* then do it.

but there are people who feel (deep inside themselves) that it looks cheap.

don't get me wrong. Black rims do look good, but painting *stock* rims is different.

bystanders will appreciate it but people who know they are stock will not always think so.

i also can't afford high-end forged $$$ rims but i'd rather stay with the stock look than paint it.

Agree with superdon on bystanders v. people who know.

I do think black rims look great on a white 8 but they cant be stock rims imo. I would save up for something different. But hey, if thats what you want than go for it. I'm sure there are things I'm doing to my 8 not everyone would agree with.

i LIKE the stock rims. i even like them better than my favorite aftermarkets (enkei rpf-1s) but that still doesnt mean im not going to paint them. just because i like the style doesnt mean i like the color.

the thing about personalizing cars is its.. "personal." do makes you happy. even if thats painting your calipers hot pink.

i did it because it was cost effective until the tires wore out, or i found a good deal on some new wheels.
