Me too! How long?

 

Ok here we go... I figure as the originator of this thread I owe it to ya'll to post some pics.

They are very nice pieces. I think Evo-R did a great job! Mine came in flat black. You will need to do a little prep work on them, especially if you want them to remain black. There are sanding/grinding scratches in them but nothing a little sanding/filling won't fix very easily.

Hope you all get your's soon! My car is still in storage so I will need to wait till I get it out to start installing these. Hopefully someone here will have them installed beforew then and do a nice installation write up for us all.

perhaps im being too nitpicky but im a little disappointed in the size and shape of the holes in these vents the evo-r vents.

perhaps i shouldnt complain as these are quite a bit cheaper than the originals as well.

HUH? I don't follow you. I can't see any dif....

 

turn the mesh, then it will be the same size and shape. the only difference from what I can see in the pics is that the Evo-R mesh has the longer part of the diamond going up and down as opposed to left to right

 

perhaps i am wrong. it seems like the opennings come much closer to the edges on the originals. i just mean it looks like the opennings could have been extended further around each of on the evo-r ones. if i wanted fiberglass i thought perhaps i could just dremel them bigger, but i really wanted CF, i dont know how that would work out.

 

painting the mesh black would look better. just my opinion.

 

How long is the wait to get a pair of these? I really, really want them but I dont want to have to pay 250-300 for them.

 

it'll take a while. some of us original contributors are still waiting.

as for what scsi means, lettme try to explain.

that part circled in red is thicker than it is on the original au-to bahn vents. so the mesh opening, we would think, will be a tad smaller.

however... i'm fine with it. it makes it a evo-r custom. hahaha.

 

any word on whos getting the 7 sets? Drksyde got his. Anyone else?
