welcome and congrats on a good car! the rev gear will come naturally after a while and parking too. take the parking slow. till today ( after 16000+km ) occasionally i still open my car door to gauge the distant to a wall/barrier when i reverse back. better that than a dent!

Welcome buddy!! When i get this car, i find my self lag of confidents in reverse parking. The driving position is quite unique. The back is hardly be seen. But after sometimes you'll get used to it...

i understand your grah grah sound bcoz when i just got my car and my friend wanted to test drive...he didnt engage the rev gear fully and started to reverseeee....grah grahhhh... i almost died of heart attack. it happens when the gear is not smooth yet so quite hard to engage the gear fully..but after a while ok

Most AT cars have a slight lag in engaging rev gear. Its better to wait a while before stepping on the acc; to prolong transmission life. Likewise when shifting to D from P.

One theory with the slower response and rattling may be due to the shift-shock clutch.

And bro holy, please drive carefully and safely and not let your friend drive your car. Treat the car like your wife.

..
when u r inside the car, u will nvr feel the car is align with other cars..THIS IS NORMAL... which means u did park properly. If you feel you car is very straight/align with other cars...it means ur car is NOT straight.
tips for parallel parking:- Never think "straight" heehee

Oh HolyOne....glad to hear you've got the 8 as stick...well done! Yes, of course you can rev more than 4k while it's new....just don't go too crazy until you've got at least 1000 km's on it. Keep the revs under 6k for the time being, but once you're over the 1000 km mark, open the revs up a bit more, but wait until 5000 km before you test redline (and do an oil change before then, just my 2 cents).
