OEM coils

My car has been having issues and my dealership won't continue with diagnostics until I replace my coils back to the OEM coils. (I currently have BHR coils on)

I would prefer to just borrow the OEM harness and coils for (hopefully) no more than a month but am willing to purchase them if necessary.

thanks,
-Aaron

Sounds like BS to me. I've had my car at John Hine in MV many times with a Mazsport ignition system without any bitching about codes.

Maybe it is time to just take your car to a competent rotary mechanic rather than the dealership. California is littered with rotary shops but it doesn't look like there are any very close to san diego with good reviews.

Oh I agree that its BS Davey, but if it gets the John Hine to finally admit that I need a new engine it is worth it to me. They have spent the last two months not being able to figure out what the issue is with my car and so they seem to default to my coils because its the variable that they are not responsible for.
Xexok, If I could take it to an independent rotary mechanic and have them cover my engine under warranty then I would in a heartbeat. As you said, there aren't any options down here in SD though. Right now I just want the dealership to finish what they have started.

Ah you didn't mention it was under warranty. They cannot force you to use oem ignition coils, ask them if they are denying your warranty or not. If they are they have to give a reason and if it is because of the coils they have to prove that the coils caused the failure of your engine or whatever part is having the problem.
