Can you use NAVI while driving?

I my acura you can find stuff while your driving. My wife usually find restaurants and stuff while im driving. Some systems ie lexus and infiniti will not allow this at all. Can you use the touch screen while the car is in motion? Sorry if this is a repost but i have tried searching for this info and have not found any. I am hopefully going to be a new 8 owner this week or next. Thanks for any info.

I only use mine when I'm driving.

I bookmark all my destinations, so when I need to go somewhere, I just select from my previously saved marks and go. Sometimes I pan and scan around when looking for a place. I never use the manual address search though, it never seems to find what I want.
