2005 starts off with a spring drive for all RX-8 tri state members. Our drive explores some of the best locations in Bucks county area, covering Langhorne, New Hope, Newtown and Lambertville in NJ
Our Planned Route
During Feb 2005 a few of our members took a drive and planned the following route. We tried to incorporate as much as we could including some great roads to drive on, meet spots, and alittle scenery!
The day should be a fun one, members, feel free to invite guests/family to come along. We have had to cancel twice due to rain - hopefully third time will be lucky!
I burnt my tranny, but I think I should be good to go on this.... I am pretty sure Ill have my car back, where can a New Yorker meet up with someone to go?
The starting point is at a place called Core Creek Park in Langhorne PA. Directions and times are on the club site. There are another few meet points too, but for NY folk, I'd say this would be a good spot. Its close to Turnpike and 95! If you unfamilar with the area, you should find it to be a great day trip. Plenty to do in the region and if your taking a guest/friend/wife etc along they should enjoy it too!
I cant say these roads are as curvy as we would like them to be, so its not really streching the limits of our RX-8's, however it will be a good drive.

i could roll with ya....ill be at the half way point....i live in jersey so i can meet you somewhere by either the gwb or 80
I've already cleared my calender for that day. Looking forward for the start of the clubs "meet season"

Nah, I'll skip the first race of the year so I can go. I am allowed to drop one event for points. Since I'll be getting a big fat zero for this one, I think I'll drop that
DAMN!, I wanted to roll with you fellas. ...But I am getting my last bit of winter in and going skiing up in Killington VT. I'll surely catch you on the flip side, have a killer time! -Tim
I dunno though, it's reeeeeeeally outa my way, lol...
I run those roads from Trenton north every day, especially up and around Bowman's Tower. Very pretty. Some are quite entertaining. The NJ portion is my snow route, which I unfortunately need to take in about 20 minutes. Hope the Pirelli Snowsports keep doing their good work
If you can find a way, you MUST drive Wrightstown Road coming up off of 532 (turn onto 532 off Taylorsville, go up hill, first right). If not during the outing, just take a cruise. Those first few miles... oh my...
HeelnToe : yeah, well dependant on who gets together on the day we could always take that route back. I have taken 532 a few times and enjoy the corners!
Will : Its been awhile, would be good to see you again!
Everyone : The weather is so unpredictable right now, the day may be tentative as well. Even if it turns out to be a chilly day, I am hoping for dry roads and blue skies! We should have a better idea by the middle of next week.
Everything looks good for Sunday at 12.30! I'll send out a group email towards the end of the week to confirm. You must be on Premium RX-8 tri state member to be on our mail list for those that may not be aware!
All the best
Wayne
