It's too elegant to throw something on the back at all! I don't think I'm too keen on that fog light either.

 

Mind you, I think the lip spoiler looks okay on other colors... just not black like I'm getting.

This one looks better

 

It's so low you'll hardly notice the rear fog light and I think the lip spoiler looks good. I'm far more concerned about the headlight washers which detract from the front end in my opinion.

I agree with you. I think the black color, along with the green looks classier than the other "sporty" colors (red, yellow, silver and blue). They look better without the spoiler.

Honestly I like the lip spoiler. I plan on getting it.

Are you planning on getting the chrome exhaust finishers? I'm going to get them on my red. I know they'll look even better with the black.

Spoilers take away from some cars IMHO, the RX-8 looks beautiful w/o it especially in darker colours.

 

Haven't decided. Right now what's on my list of addons:

Interior red accents for:
Handbrake
Front Console
Rear Console

And then I'm going to get the rotary polished emblems for front and back.

I have $500 college rebate on the car (we'll know for sure on June 3rd), so I will take that money and use it towards upgrades instead of just cutting out the price of the car. I don't know the price of the exhaust finisher but if I can do it without too much addon price, then I might just. It's pretty sleek looking and will set my car apart.

I think that the car looks *great* with the lip spoiler however I feel that with a black car.. it does take away from the 'class' I feel that color is exuding. Thus, I'm not going to get the lip spoiler any longer because I've looked at countless pictures and I don't think it will look as nice.

UK spec cars get the lip spoiler as a standard fitment,

I'm a little tempted by the larger full spoiler I've seem in some of these forums, I know the wing on my MX-6 makes it a breeze to aim the back end into even the tightest parking spaces.

I only hope that it looks a little better in the metal, I've ordered a black finish but there seem to be few really good studio shots.

(maybe it's just me but I really struggle to park some modern cars. BMW 3 series without the park distance sensor anyone ? I can't see past the parcel shelf)

 

i dont think you have to worry about that rear rotor light, i don't think the US will get it.

To each his (or her) own. I'm getting black and if it's available, I'll get the lip spoiler. I personally don't really care for extra chrome accents, but if I see it on any RX-8 I think it'll be cool. It's nice to be able to individualize your car in the way that you want.

 

I was trying to decide between the regular wing and an aftermarket lip like this one. After seeing this pic the lip spoiler is out...

I like the comment about using the wing to help with parking (reversing), but is it too Uncle Ben? Or should I just leave the car butt-naked.
