I doubt that it's a faulty fuel pump.
Our cars tend to fuel starve when you're below half tank taking hard corners.

I was one of the cars with probs at this event. I was a bit above half a tank and it would lose power completely after sweeping turns. Happened anywhere from 2-4 times within the lap. Got so bad I had to take myself out of the event. This is the first time this has ever happened though and I had just gotten the car back from not being able to rev past 7.5K on a hot day (of course, problem could not be duplicated and I got the car back with 35 more miles put on it -_-)

fun times none the less ^_^

Bunch of us in the SE (Georgia) track/Time Trial cars.
At least half have had fuel starvation issues in sweepers and replaced a fuel pump.
A low tank will do the same thing, but if you were over half........

It is annoying at an autox, but downright dangerous on track.

It is a BMWCCA event so RX-8's are in X2 class.

http://www.houston-bmwcca.com/drivin...lts/080607.htm

I believe there were about 72 total drivers, 7 being RX-8s.

4 of the RX-8 drivers were on their first or second event. 2 drivers(myself included) are on our 6th or 7th event. And one driver has about 9-12 months of experience.

I'm really hoping everyone who came out keeps coming out. Would be fun to see where we all end up a year from now.

Sadly we were all beaten by a CSP RX-7. The thing had everything removed humanly possible.

Far right, red car. Sorry no close up pictures. Lets just say his car was so stripped his drivers seat looked like a cheap metal lawn chair. I think he said it weighed 2200 lbs with him in it.
