Wow my brain hurts after reading some of the people's dumb post on here.

For those who want a rotary without the high price of an RX8, go buy an FC and take yourselves over to the RX7 forums.

Bump for an 8 at a descent price. Good Luck with you sale.

the dealership is not giving you that for your 8. they are showing you that. if they are giving it to you, ask them to just write you a check with no trade.

they have their car 7k off, but they don't tell you that,.

it goes like this. our (the dealership's) car is 20k. we'll give you 12k for yours (5k real money and 7k off ours which is what we give to everyone). so you wanted 12k for yours, right? there you go. sign here. press real hard.

Actually they were going to give me that plus take 2K off the sticker price but it was a car that I wouldn't have been happy with in the long run so I didn't go through with it.

Thanks for quoting a four month old post though.

Finally got the car back. New engine is running great although I'm taking it easy; it's hard to stay under 4 grand. The car is ready to go. Someone come pick it up.

If you're still selling in December, I'd come get it. Not that far from you but right now, I'm just a poor college kid who signed his 8 years of his life away for some cash and other reasons.

Anyway, you should check out carmax. Sure they could do better than 11k for ya. Good luck on the sell.

The way it looks, I'll probably keep it for the summer and try to sell it again next winter. By then it will have a few upgrades though.

The guys in the room next to mine(dorm life, gotta love it) are from Midlothian. Hmm, if you have AIM or something, I wouldn't mind keeping in contact with you about the car. You're not far from me, so I could easily come check it out sometime this year.

with the economy the way it is and the RX-8's depreciating as fast as they are, they'll mostly be in the under $10K range

seriously that was the worst thing I have ever heard on this forum.

#1 MAIN REASON they dont depreciat as fast as you claim they do in value is there is a ROTARY engine. I mean seriously please get your facts straight before you post. All cars depreciate in value but there is no way in hell 8's will drop under 10k
