It should be 51-9L0 or 51-PK0 just not sure which one is left or right.

steve2tails gave you part of the correct part numbers. Are those pieces not what your looking for? That's the lower lip for the bumper on each side. Are you looking for those little air diffusers underneath the bumper? Or the middle R3 lip? Can't tell from your description. Maybe a pic would help.

what i am looking for are the r3 only vinyl pieces that bolt on under the other lip. they are about 12 inches long and have a pointed front. you will find them on the corners of the front nose.

upon further review, it looks like those are universal part numbers for lips for all mazda vehicles.

i found this website, which is great because it has all the drawings and part numbers for the rx-8.

i guess i just have to make sure they know it's for the 09 r3.

thanks guys, sorry for arguing :-)

Ok I think I know what your saying. Those little air diffusers that stick down in this picture? I believe all S2's have these not just R3s.

Am I right? Is this the part you are looking for? If so I believe you want these part numbers:

Driver: F189-56-14YD
Passenger: F189-56-13YD

Seems you can't just buy the little piece that sticks down, just the whole shield part, see part #3. This took a LONG time to find!

nah, you were right the first time. like i said, if you look at any mazda vehicle, mazda 2, rx-7, speed 3. they all list the spolier part numbers as 51-9LO AND 51-PKO. doesnt matter what car you have, thats the part number.

Well that's only part of the part number, it's like an identifier.

Here's what you want, they are not cheap! :

Driver: F197-51-9L1A
Passenger: F197-51-9H1A
