wheel very close to caliper?

Just wanted to get an answer to see if there will be an issue with this.

the wheel spins freely but is very close to the caliper...took it around the block with no issues.

pads and rotors are 2 weeks old.

what is your opinion?

Were wheels specifically for an RX-8 or just some wheels you liked? Close doesn't really count, but if your wheels flex under load.... might get interesting. Try a small wheel spacer to be safe.

He looks to have a very aggessive 2 peice wheel which would give that deep concave setup. Use a wheel spacer and you'll be fine.

..sharp looking rims ..their weight could give some indication of their quality, i.e., heavy being less good, but if the wheel fits ... lol.
