I reckon the suspension is great - I don't find any body roll and don't know where all the reports of that were coming from. The car goes exactly where you point it.
Originally posted by LightEmUp Has anyone heard anything? Tein, JIC, even H&R? That's gonna be the first thing I do.
I have heard of all of those, they are the best of the best, however H&R may or may not make coilovers for the RX-8. If I have a european car, I would definately go H&R - nothing like German quality.
hmm. I'd have to say after watching the video of the laguna seca time trial, some good springs, shocks, and anti-sways are in order. The car really did seem to sway quite a bit.
mazdaspeed springs, shocks, strut braces, and chasis braces are already for sale re is almost done with his, and JIC has announced they are working on aftermarket products for the 8, and they make very good suspension parts
Nice, I'm running Tein HA's now and they are awesome. Especially at the track with the firmness at 90%.
I realize that the stock suspension is probably very good when compared to most of the cars out there, but there is nothing like a custom designed full coilover racing suspension like Tein or JIC. Any word on pricing?
Yeah.. I have them set on about half stiff for the street which is a good compromise, any more than that and the ride becomes unbearable, especially with my 45 series tires. That's what you get for riding on 660 lb springs.
