Rota wheels... what do you think about them?

Just wondering what the general forum feeling is towards Rota wheels...

On one hand, yes they are cheap cast knockoffs that generally weigh more then the real thing. On the other hand, they are usually about 1/2 the price of the real deal, are generally safe to ride on, and provide a lot less of a heartattack if you would curb a $200 Rota vs a $500 Volk....

I would say that Rota wheels actually looks pretty good, obviously the quality will not be as close to the authentic one. Weight i think will be the biggest concern regard to the Knock off rims. But if you are new to rims, or you scared to curb your rims, Rota will be a pretty good beginning choice. Get a wider off set and the rims will be more aggressive. =] Good luck! p.s. if you have the money i would recommend you to buy the authentic one..

I like my rotas, I don't feel like paying 2-3g's for wheels that will get destroyed by WV potholes....

If they have axis halo matte white replica, i would even be happy paying less than thousand bux to get a set even if the quality is questioned. they just dont have the wheel style that i want when i bought my wheels.

overused?? played out??? sounds like you're talkin' about a fashon trend rather than a racing wheel...who care's who has it - it's light, it's strong and for the price - it doesn't get much better...

depends on if you are a dedicated racer or not. In my area alone which is NOT the biggest car scene (Upstate NY) I know of 10 people that have those wheels. I don't track my car all the time seriously, so I will sacrifice that aspect for a wheel I find aesthetically much more appealing without sacrificing quality (Rotas).

no, the quality is NOT there. I know of 5 people personally who have had their Rotas destroyed daily driving them here in Albany NY. Never seen a 5Zigen, Volk, Work, SSR, BBS, or any other reputable brand (that brands like Rota steal their designs from) break from daily driving roads to and from work here in NY. The Rota quality is ****, but by all means if you want to put shitty wheels on a real sports car then be my guest. I'm not going to be the one looking stupid when I'm pulled off on the side of the road with a busted wheel.

Yes I do but I don't advertise that. Just because Like Redefine has said they do not stand up for daily driving the material they use for wheels just doesn't stand up for quality in my opinion.

I don't push Rota for that specific reason, if someone wanted them sure, but those will not be my recommendations.
