MSP Wheels on RX-8

I've searched and haven't found an answer for this question hopefully someone can help me. I'm going to be trading my P5 in for a RX-8 this spring and was wondering if the 17" mazdaspeed wheels I have would work on the RX-8 for winter wheels? Thanks

Stock RX-8 wheels are 18x8, with +50et offset.

With 17x7 and +55 offset, the clearance from stut housing to the inside of the wheel will be 8mm MORE. The outside edge of the wheel will RETRACT in towards the body by 18mm.

My educated guess is that it will fit. Only concern is clearing the brakes. If you're getting an auto, no problem. A lot of people are running 17" wheels for winter without issues, including myself.

Thanks for the help. I'm planning on a manual. It sounds like it may work so I'll hang on to the rims and check it out when I get it this spring. Thanks again.
