please help. i have had so many problems with this car since i bought it and now this. there is no power in the car, it cant keep and idle, def. smell gas. please help

Yep. Did you hear any thing strange before this happened? And what were you doing prior to this. As in how you were driving?
How many miles on the car?

before this the car off and on would have weird problems accelerating. the problem happened around 4500 rpm but i wasnt flooring it. just givin it a little more than normal. and about 75000

by weird i mean randomly cutting the engine off. well not off but it would just quit... but it was still running...

If your under 100,000 miles you have engine warranty. Call the dealership and inquire as to your warranty status.

i guess sound would be when idling in the bay it sounded like air was being pushed or something. its hard to explain. i figured it was a pully or something

Pull one of the leading spark plugs and the ESS (Eccentric Shaft Sensor) and crank the car over. Listen for smooth rhythmic pulses of the engine. Repeat with the other Leading spark plug. Listen again.

If they are not smooth, even pulses and are skipping a beat. Bad engine.


I would just call the dealer.
