Hot air from vents

Hello,

With the AC off, hot/cold turned all the way to cold, control **** set to 0 and on "fresh air" setting (VS. interior recycled) I am getting hot air through the interior vents.

Is this normal?

Thank you,

Brian

yeah it happens to me...there is a fix but im too lazy to do it/get it done.

I just push the button to recirculate the air and that stops the flow through the system bc it will not draw air from outside.

Would that be a TSB? I did look at Finish lines site but came up empty.

Thank you,

Brian

thats air coming from the hood.

nothing u can really do to fix it. but u can turn the AC on for a minute first, then shut it off, it should stay cool for the rest of the trip like that.

sorry man I do not know that off hand.

After reading NY post:

is it hot air as in the heater may randomly come on and hot air comes out from that, or is your jsut warm engine air. My 8 will sometimes randomly turn the heat on even when the system is turned off. That is what I was referring to with the fix.

Just a constant light flow. I assumed it was engine air like my old 1970 charger used to do.

Thanks for the tips also.

Take care,

Brian

it's just engine air if it's on "fresh air"

the problem u're referring to is the broken HVAC unit.

I had that problem b4, replaced under warranty. Thats all.
