HELP! no headlights WTF?
so today as I was leaving work I went to start my car and finish closing up, I started it and flipped the headlights on, then walked away ( and as most people do)
I just went to look back to admire my car and then out of no where both headlights just went out (at the exact same time) so I am thinking, **** ok, must be a fuse (since they both went off) walked back to the car, flipped the switch, and went back inside, came back out to the car, and popped the hood to locate the low beam fuse(s). pull them out, and they are fine.... so I am thinking okie must be the relay.
so I drive home, and pull it in the drive way, and pop the hood, do some more fuse investigating, and everything is fine. so I leave the hood popped walk over to the window and start flipping the headlight switch to see if I can hear the relay clicking, and I hear the first relay for the parking lights, then turn it more and yeap, still get a nice loud click from the headlight relay, so now I just dont know what to think, I do have aftermarket headlight bulbs ( this is not a HID car BTW), so tomorrow is friday, I work at 8:00, and IDK but I think if both lights went out at the same time it cant be the bulbs, but I think I would need to swap the stock ones back in before I can take it to the stealership for warranty (idk if aftermarket bulbs would void anything though) I get off at 2:00 so I would have to rush home change them and hope to be able to get my car up to the dealership intime for them to work on it and fix it before they close at 6 for the weekend.
can anyone think of anything it could be? for both lights to just go out at the exact same time? could it still be the relay, even if it is still clicking?
damn this is frustating....
thanks for your help, sorry for the bad grammar, long post, and bad punctuation.
