First Check Engine Light Problem

Okay u guys, got an issue with my check engine light comin on. was about 3 or 4 days ago i was ridin on the autobahn, accelerating to max, n at about 220-230 the check engine light comes on. completely stock motor too by the way. when i slowed down the light went away. speed back up to the higher speeds (this time happened at about 190) the light comes on again. slowed down to about 150-160 n the light went back off n hasn't come on again. granted i haven't gone past 160 after that cuz i was affraid of the light. anyone else have this problem or knows wut's up? i got a US spec 8 in Germany which voids the warrenty (****** MAZDAAAAAAA!!!!) so i can't take it into any shops n have em diagnose it. costs like 60 euro n hour (about $100) at the cheapest mom n pops garage kinda places.

I think he is talking about misfire CEL.

Cuz it "mostly" happens under high rpm/high speed driving, which is exactly what happened to him (FYI, 160kmh is about 100mph, which happens a lot in Germany's highways)

Change plugs and coils and 90% of the time the problem will go away (at least for maybe 15-30K miles)

Yeah....we all know it was probably a misfire and indicates coils and or wires.(since he just did the plugs), but the operative word is PROBABLY.

Just re-set the ECU. if it comes back right away you have a problem.

Most likely the common misfire.
