any help appreciated
Had my Rex 2 years now, it's been superb, 2004 only 27000 miles on clock, recently I put too much oil in and it held back at 6000k revs just the once, i quickly got some oil out and it never did this again, however it did start idling much worse than it used too, admittingly i havn't had the bottom housing of the air box fitted for some time, (it broke - one on order now.) The idling is still really not too great and I wondered if when I re-fit the housing if it will help as Im wondering if the extra heat is effecting the MAF? I have cleaned the MAF by the way. Im wondering also if it may be the engine mounts but Im really not sure how bad the idling would need to be. Also when stood idling I can hear a slight 'dik dik dik dik' coming from the engine, if i put the clutch in (to make it quieter) and listen under the car i can hear it quite well? is this a normal sound or does anyone have any ideas whats wrong with my car??? It runs perfect and better than ever when moving just not on idle?? please help, Dan
