plugs from advanced auto why the price diff??
I was tooling around the other day looking for some stuff to buy and came across a set of plugs on advanced auto parts web site. Anyone know why the price difference between these 2.
http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/Pro...or=Spark+Plugs
Also can someone tell me what the exact difference is between the old and new plugs? From what I understand basically all they did was notch the Trailing plug right? 19.99 to 32.99 for the same thing is wierd unless perhapse they are still selling the old style plug. The discription is basically the same though .

I bought my plugs from them and they worked fine. I didn't get them online, I went to the store and the had to order them overnight. But I remember the plugs numbers were different (#L vs #T). I don't know what the second set of plugs are, I think the web interface is wrong. Either way, they are teh same NGK everyone else sells and they worked great with the new coils.

They are the exact same... Look at the description on both... Why the two different prices?? Odds are, Advance screwed something up when they entered the "new" design into their system. Don't spend more for the exact same part...

I'm not planning on buying plugs I was just surfing around and found these. What is confusing me so much is not really the description but the pics. I have never seen the old stlye plugs and the pics of the leading and trailing are the same- no notches. I'm going to call advanced and see whats up. update to follow.

i was looking for a set this past weekend, and O'Reilly Auto had all 4 plugs for $80 total, but had to order them. In a hurry, I called the dealer and they wanted $162 for the exact same set of 4 NGKs... Stealerships FTL...

I know this is a repost, but I kind of like these:

About a third the price of OEM plugs from places like sparkplugs.com or BHR, and maybe an eighth the price from a dealer.

Spark plugs are often misunderstood by most people. A spark plug's name is quite literal. They are designed to plug the line - and suppress any spark that may come through. Of course, you know what happens if a spark finds an open fuel source!! That could get ugly! KaleCoAuto extra retardant plugs block 99% of spark, and allow 95% of ignition molecules to pass through. That's 25% more than the competition, and unlike the competition, KaleCoAuto plugs never need cleaning.
wtf?
edit: ah, haha, figured out it was a joke website

motorcycle is not surprising... I run BR10EIX on my car (irridium, colder than the stock trailing for high boost) and they are for motorcycles and cost about $8 each. But you need a special thin socket to install them
