Fuel Filter
Has anyone removed the fuel filter to either check it or replace it? Is it difficult to accomplish? And would having access to a lift help??
Thanks,
Thanks,

As I understand it, the fuel filter is in the tank as an integral part of the fuel pump assembly. It is considered a 100,000 mile filter according to Mazda, and is not intended to be serviced until 100,000 miles. I am also not certain, but I think that to replace it, one would need to replace the whole assembly which includes the fuel pump which would be cost prohibitive.
Either way, I would assume that getting at it would be a pain, but I have not spent much time thinking about it since it isn't an issue for me yet.
I'm sure that others know more than I do, and best of luck.
