Clutch engage sensor fail/broken car won't start

Ok so yesterday I went out to start my car and when I turned the key there was no cranking or signs of it trying to crank, so I pumped the clutch a couple times and it then turned over real quick and stopped. Now I couldn't get it to turn over at all, and I got somewhere I need to be...so if this ever happens to you I want to show you how to quick fix it...I searched and searched yesterday to see if this was on here, but with no luck I figure I'll post it.

The black thing dangling is what is supposed to connect to the little white piston, and you can see a little metal jumper on the white piston that clues on how it works....So this is how I fixed it temporarily, and no I didn't have electrical tape at the time.. I know since this car has been out for so long somebody already posted this but I couldn't find it! I just took one of our little 15 fuzes and taped it onto the black sensor, it seemed to fit just right, and now it works great!
