I got an in dash DVD/CD player for my car, got it installed and everytime I put a CD or DVD in it says no disc and ejects it.... Is there any hope of fixing this?

more detail than that.. what did you do - exactly what did you replace.. did you replace it yourself.. where did you get the part etc etc.....

Well first I pulled out the old one and cut the wires then I took the wire thingies and twisted them together to the new one but a couple of fuses blew so I took one wire and ran it to my battery and that made the screen come on.......

No, I took it to a friend who used to install car stereos for a living. He took out my JVC PICT stereo and put in the PYLE of crap DVD player that I bought from someone out of there FC. Everything came with it to install it. Everything come on and works properly except when you put a disc in. I tried a burnt disc, a brand new CD and a DVD.. It goes in spins and then the screen says NO DISC and shoots it back out.
