HID problem. need help

Just recently installed 10000k hid bulbs in the 8. Now every once in a while the passenger headlight will shut off and i will have to turn the lights off then back on to get it to work again. can anyone help me with this.

Just bulbs? You had OEM HIDs previously? If that's the case I'd say that it's just a bad bulb and needs to be replaced. If you had halogens and the 10000k is a kit, you may want to swap the bulbs (left for right) and see if the problem follows the bulb or stays on the same side. That will tell you if it's the bulb or balast.

It's the bulb then. Hopefully, whoever sold them to you will replace it.

Sometimes my driver's side flickers. It's just the bulb. Don't sweat it.

Flickering or changing color upon first turning them on can be considered normal depending on how minor it is.

Best thing to do would be to park your car in a dark garage with the bumper 3 ft from the wall, take a video of the wall showing the bulb flicker.

When Lexus cars come in, we see them flicker badly, almost like its trying to turn on - but running out of power/ loose connection. They also are a noticeably different color, depending how hot the bulb got before it decided to **** the bed.

mine doesnt flicker. it will just shut off after about 10-15 minutes so i shut the lights off then back on and it works again. not sure if its the bulb or not cause it doesnt flicker at all and the color matches the other side right on. Could it be the ballast? It never did it with the stock bulbs though.

YOu are not going to know until you either swap the left and right bulbs or try a whole new blub

I've experienced this every now and then in my bike with the high beam since I upgraded the HIDs. it doesn't really bother me since it is easily solve by shutting the headlight on and off.
I would think in your case this can be attributed to the ballast getting overheated, I suspect they have a built in mechanism that cuts the energy flow in the even of overheat to prevent irreversible damage.
I you have a warranty I would suggest contacting the manufacturer and inquire on why this is happening.
