Going for a Wide Body Kit
I have been looking for years for a true wide body kit. I have yet to find one.
If anyone knows of any let me know.
since I haven't found one. I decided to have one built, and am currently looking for someone or a Company that can manufacture it.
The Wide Body Kit would Consist of having Extra Wide Wheel Wells. this would mean that there would be custom front right and left and rear right and left fenders plus custom rear and front bumpers and custom side skirts.
I would preferably like this in Painted Carbon Fiber. but anyone that can manufacture it has my attention.
Here are some examples of somewhat of what I am Looking for.
(as I get better examples made I will post them)
These first few are actually from Need For Speed Carbon, the RX-8 full wide body kit 3.
which is very similar to what I am looking for and definitely something I would settle for.
My RX-8 from the rear with mock wide rear fenders much like what im looking for

ya it is a beautiful body kit. if you like that one, check out the red one on this thread.

I really like the rmagic bodykit. the curves are gorgeous. if I could get it like 40mm wider it'd be perfect for what I want it for, and very unique.

Oh well , i was just going by what you typed , as i interpret things very strictly. As you said in ur previous post " i have yet to find one" meaning you havent found any at all.
Why dont you buy the aponte bro's widebody then? Not wide enough? Also i think its like 1 or 2 pieces. Not sure ... you can always get a quote from a body shop with the pic u made.

100% agree with this picture. Nice find Dozer!
This is such a nice looking rendition of the RX8. It's hard to imagine a wide body kit that still "honors" the beautiful curves of the RX8... but then we see this R-Magic kit, which somehow, still looks like an RX8, and still awe so beautiful.
I don't know who's RX8 that is, but it's an inspiring looking car (IMHO).

I actually have been talking to Aponte Racing about aquiring there body kit. it's def wide enough by far, the only downer is it's all straight edged and no rounding, they may be able to do a rounded set for me, but they are more keen on the two part body like you had mentioned. so we will see.
right now I have been talking to a few body shops about a widened rmagic wide body, or tayloring some custom designed stuff if I do it on AutoCAD.
This RMAGIC widebody is Gorgeous.

The rear of the RMagic is ugly, I don't like it. The front is beautiful tho
I personally think those widebody's are pointless unless you are taking part is a serious racing series or have enough power to justify it. Otherwise it's just like a Civic with a widebody and 160-hp- pointless.
You can fit 10.5" wheels in the stock 8 fenders (albeit with rolling) so you can get a 275 tire in there that can harness the power most Renesis-powered 8's are making.

the wide body is pointless if you don't have the power or need to back it.
but if you do then it's a great and rather unique adition
