RE Amemiya PCM
I was on RE Amemiya's site, (RX-8 section) with google translate on, and I still have no idea what they're talking about:
https://translate.google.com/transla...p/&prev=search
I get the first section of the page, which talks about ignition coils going bad, etc....but I'm really curious to know what they're discussing as far as the PCM calibrations and what their PCM's actually do, what kind of gains you see, if you need a CAI as well as exhaust upgrade to benefit, if they sell the actual PCM, or just do re-flashes, etc.
Does anyone know Japanese that can write up a better translation of this page?
Will the Cobb do the same thing essentially?

Hmm...
"Has been the torque save in almost all areas."
I guess they are talking about being able to find additional torque throughout the rev range.
"In the final stages of development, as manageable from the elderly to young women"
I think what they mean is err, women will like you if you buy this?

OK, comedy aside, it looks like they are using Mazdaedit to reprogram the stock ecu. So, to answer your question, yes, Cobb can pretty much do the same thing, although you would need to know what to do with the tables in Cobb.

It's just the usual JDM companies Bluff, I don't wanna translate the whole thing word by word but basically it's just saying how the Rx-8 works, how their tune will do, changing the value, improving both power and reliability, etc.
To be honest, There is nothing special about Re-Amemiya tuned ECU, some of us here probably knows the same if not better than them. by the way, the BEST Japanese Rotary Tuner is NOT the usual companies u see on best motoring(Re-Amemiya, FEED, etc), there is a guy (old man) that is known in the community, his work is much better than any of them and they know it. but he prefer not to be named and he is more into GT-R than Rotary now.

So I'm just curious: What is the highest output naturally aspirated Rx8 that has been heard of? As in how much power did it dyno at the wheels? And what was their setup?

well that sucks that he went to the darkside. Thinking about getting a cobb from MM and trying to get some custom tunes then...
