im running Sr motorsport 9lbs flywheel...
good thing is car revs MUCH quicker takes a littel getting used. youll find yourself over revving but youll eventually get used to it.
I have a 50 % strogner exedy clutch.. the entire things cost me 1000 dollars.
what also happens due to clutch.. is it occasionally stall while idling but not too often.. maybe once a month or once every two months it will stall.. also you will feel a vibration but its practically normal.. its a minot vibration but none the less you still feel it.. odd thing is someitme you feel it and sometimes you dont haha
but i reccomend it 100%

I bought the ACT Prolite flywheel and ACT HD Clutch. It cost me around $700 shipped and install was free.
You shouldn't be stalling at idle. But when you start moving because the clutch grabs harder and the flywheel doesn't have much momentum, it can be easier to stall initially.
By the second day I drive it like it was stock.

well, prehaps many already know, but when I weighed the supposedly 8.5 lb fidanza it actually turned out to be 10.5 lbs, they must have weighed it without the friction surface or something.
So the true 8.5 lb wheel that BHR is offering is actually pretty huge.

its not that im stalling when im at idle. once in a while my rpms drop low and it just doesnt crank over it doesnt happen too often but its practically normal when you upgrade to a lighter flywheel.

it's not normal. You shouldn't stall at idle because of the flywheel. You're the first one to complain about this that I've read.

resetting the E-shaft profile??? whats that? how do i re set it?
the idle switch?? how could that have gotten damaged?
Well im not stalling all the time its once in a while. car hasnt stalled in over a month now. but i do get a vibration like a rattle once in a while. i googled it up and ive read taht lightetr flywheels can cause your car to stall due to it not having enough momentum to crank over. and it causes a minor vibration.
Look it up if you dont beleive me
go to google and type

Over the past 9 years of selling RX-7 parts I have seen people throw money down the drain on a regular basis. For the average RX-8 you dont need anything more than the ACT setup. Spec also makes some decent stuff. I have 400, 500 and 600HP RX-7's running ACT and Spec. I get a laugh when I see RX-8 owners saying they want double and triple plate setups for a car that makes 200-300HP. It was sort of the samething back in the day with RX-7's, but over time we have figured out whats a waste of money and what isnt.

Thanks for the explanation, Jason. On that issue of getting "too much clutch" I totally agree with you. On the issue of throwing money down the drain many people think that's what the entire aftermarket industry is predicated on and we on this forum have had our own arguments about it, too. Look at how many people swap out the intakes and clutches as their first items when Mazda makes a really nice intake system and Exedy makes a really nice clutch that comes in the car, too.
I must admit I made the same error of judgement, myself, when I got the ACT Xtreme Duty pressure plate(which is rated for 443 lb./ft. of torque/600+ h.p.) so soon before my own clutch was even CLOSE to needing replacement. That's how I came across the problem of weak clutch pedal assemblies. I eventually swapped the factory set up back in and I will soon be using one of my own clutch systems when they are available.
The thing that makes the BHR clutch unique is that they are aluminum pressure plates so we can get the lightweight benefits of aluminum plates without having to spend $1,000+ to get it.
