Aluminum Coolant tank

So my coolant tank is busted and I really don't want to go back to stock. What are the suggestions? I found this (1st link) which looked nice because it has 4 hose connectors and a pressure relief cap. I'm sure the pressure relief is necessary, but what about the tank having 4 connectors? What would I have to do to use a tank with only one connector? And what should I do about the level sensor, because I know some of you just unhooked it, but are there any drawbacks (except the obvious having to check your coolant), or would I be better off drilling and tapping a hole for it? Also I found another nicer tank (2nd link) which might be easier to work with, but what's you guy's opinions? Or am I just way off and should buy the stock tank to be done with it? Just looking for some input, and looking to improve. Thanks for any help.

If you have to ask then this is not a route you want to take. I suggest just getting an OEM tank, you can get it cheaper without the level sensor and just check it manually. Or spent another $50.00 and get the one with the sensor and be done with it.

My triple can setup cost me almost $400 to do it right. I only found 1 overflow can that was the same volume as the factory bottle, and they run about $80 each (Prices vary based on availability). You'll have to modify it, get fittings, custom length hoses, and make a bracket.
Be very careful with the hose going to the radiator... the plastic nipple on top of the radiator is prone to breaking.

Sensor is mandatory; checking coolant level "just visually" is not good enough. Why? Should your radiator/coolant system be damaged while driving and you were to lose coolant suddenly, you wouldn't know until it's too late!

My coolant light is on permanently, the sensor is fubar. Like many Rx8 owners tho, no big deal. I keep a keen eye on my fluids anyway.
Been thinking of swapping out the stock reservoir for an aluminum unit but I like the clear plastic ones as I can visually see the level without opening the cap.

Yeah does seem like a lot of work, I guess I'll hold off on that for now. My stock tank isn't really totally busted up, a plastic edge that holds on the cap just broke off, but there's gotta be a way to get the cap to stay.
But judging from your setup reddozen, if I were to build a custom tank it would have to have 4 hoses? is that right? And if someone would be so kind, could one perhaps explain what the 4 hoses do?

2 go into the thermostat housing assembly.
1 goes into the radiator
1 is the overflow blow-by vent.
